As Sponsor of Women’s History Month Celebration, Ceridian Offers a Unique Perspective on Women’s Achievements

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (March 10, 2008) – Ceridian Chairman and CEO Kathryn Marinello, head of one of the largest providers of human resource services in the world, makes it her business to deal daily with growing revenue, increasing customer satisfaction and enhancing products and solutions – matters which have nothing to do with gender.

Yet Marinello is one of only about two dozen women now running Fortune 1000-size companies.

“That’s a curiosity to me,” she said. “Leadership on this scale comes down to the individual challenge of making life better for others – regardless of whether you’re a man or a woman.”

Marinello will be keynote speaker March 19 at the Women’s Symposium of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, an annual event that coincides with Women’s History Month and recognizes outstanding women in business and volunteerism who have made positive contributions in Pinellas County.

For the past seven years Ceridian has sponsored the event. Ceridian Benefit Services, a leading provider of employee benefits services such as COBRA compliance and health and welfare administration, is based in St. Petersburg with more than 1,000 employees.

According to Ceridian Benefits Services Senior Vice President John Shade, supporting the symposium is a natural extension of what the company does.

“As a company that maximizes the value of people, we’ve always generously supported a variety of organizations that help strengthen our communities, foster civic engagements and improve lives in the St. Petersburg area,” Shade said.
