Ceridian Launches Comprehensive Suite of Small Business HR Risk Management Solutions

With Small Business Facing Increasingly More Complex and Costly Compliance Concerns, Ceridian Responds with New Solutions to Help Companies Manage Their Risk

At the 58th annual SHRM Conference and Exposition, Washington, D.C. (June 26, 2006) – Ceridian (www.ceridian.com), a leader in human resources outsourcing management solutions, announced today that in early July it will launch Ceridian Risk Management Solutions, the most comprehensive suite of human resources risk management solutions available for companies with less than 300 employees.

Due to the complexity, scope and rate of change of the thousands of regulations and legal precedents, HR compliance represents a major challenge for all businesses. This is particularly true for small businesses, which traditionally lack the specialized positions/professionals on staff to address and manage these issues.

In response to this, Ceridian built Ceridian Risk Management Solutions to help small businesses manage the entire spectrum of their HR compliance needs. It features products and services that touch all components of employee lifecycle management – hiring, retaining, and terminating. Pre-employment background screening and drug testing services are included to assist organizations in making smart hiring decisions. Once the hiring decision is made, organizations can get assistance with training the new hire on their code of conduct and ethics policies and harassment and discrimination issues.

“The mounting challenges around compliance and ethics are particularly troublesome for small firms and becoming one of their greatest areas of concern. They are often unable to weather the financial risks of extended suits and large monetary judgments than can come with these issues,” said Brian Regan, Ceridian’s vice president of Small Business. “Our new risk management solutions provide small businesses with a comprehensive set of tools that can help them better manage against these risks, thus being able to remain focused on running their businesses.”

In addition to employee training, the suite offers services that assist the organization in complying with employment laws – compliance posters, ethics hot line services, reoccurring background checks and an online HR compliance research tool that provides instant access to current state and Federal laws and forms. Additionally, when the employee leaves the company, the suite provides exit interviewing and COBRA services.

“We are very excited to take this expansion step with our HR Risk Mitigation capabilities. We believe there is a tremendous customer need in this area, and we will be looking for ways to expand our compliance solution offerings, not only to small businesses but to larger customers as well,” said Ceridian’s vice president of Compliance Services, John Bruellman.”

Additionally, Ceridian has formed an agreement with Wackenhut, the U.S. based division of Group 4 Securicor, the world’s leading provider of security and related services, to offer, as part of this new risk management offering, background and drug screening, ethics training and hotline services and an exit interview tool to its small business customers.

“As a recognized leader in global risk mitigation services we are pleased to join forces with Ceridian to offer cost- effective solutions to the complex ethics and compliance challenges faced by Human Resource professionals today,” said William T. Hill, president, Wackenhut Consulting and Investigation Services. “This partnership will look for opportunities to expand our HR Compliance Solutions footprint to satisfy market needs.”
