Ceridian Partners with Lighthouse1 to Offer Employers Unique Web-based Capabilities

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (June 11, 2008) – Ceridian Benefits Services, a leading provider of employee benefits outsourcing, today announced it has teamed up with Lighthouse1 to introduce an advanced Web-based platform that expands the capabilities of its services.

According to Ceridian, the new technology provides greater ease, efficiency and customer service to employers using its pretax employee benefits services, such as Flexible Spending Account (FSA) administration.

For the past 18 months, Ceridian and Lighthouse1, a leader in consumer-driven health care administration software, have worked together to integrate “best-in-class” Lighthouse1 OnDemand(TM) software with Ceridian’s proven operational, financial and data infrastructures.

The partnership has resulted in a high-performance, highly scalable, Web-based benefits administration platform configured for Ceridian’s unique business needs. Ceridian is the first leading third party administrator to use Lighthouse1 OnDemand(TM) Software as a Service (SaaS) solution on such a large scale.

“By leveraging Lighthouse1’s high-performance software, Ceridian can offer new and existing clients greater service capabilities designed to help them better focus on their businesses, while still getting the most value from their employee benefits,” said Todd Simmons, a Vice President for Ceridian Benefits Services.

Those capabilities, Simmons added, will be key in supporting future Ceridian service offerings that require advanced reimbursement options.

The new enhancements to Ceridian’s pretax benefits services include increased access for employees to self-service features, greater benefit card capabilities, and more efficient reporting and claims processing.

Laine Brantner, Chief Operations Officer for Lighthouse1, said Ceridian’s unique implementation of Lighthouse1 OnDemand(TM) software greatly aided his company in the design and further development of the leading-edge SaaS solution system.

“With this partnership, we are able to enhance our solution and grow our lead in providing the most innovative technology in the CDH market today,” Brantner said.

Health care pretax spending programs are considered the linchpin of consumer-driven health care and a viable way for employers and their employees to offset rising costs. Ceridian’s enhanced capabilities include easier enrollment options to drive up employee participation for maximum savings.
