Ceridian Sees Increasing Interest Among Midmarket Companies For HR Outsourcing

Company’s total HR outsourcing client base has grown steadily in 2007

Minneapolis (December 17, 2007) – Ceridian’s Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) division continues to have steady growth with the addition of many new clients and the extension of contracts in its customer base.

Ceridian’s HRO portfolio now consists of 29 clients in the U.S. This includes eight new employers that have signed with Ceridian since the beginning of the 2007 and eight existing Ceridian HRO clients that have extended or renewed their contracts with Ceridian HRO.

Some of Ceridian’s new HRO clients include:

* ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE:ABD), a world leader in select categories of branded office products.
* AMEC, an engineering and project management company is a focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering, and project management services to the world’s energy, power and process industries.
* Jiffy Lube, the largest system of franchised and company operated service centers in the fast-lube industry.
* JohnsonDiversey Inc., a leading global provider of commercial cleaning and hygiene solutions, serving customers in the lodging, food service, retail, health care and food and beverage sectors as well as building service contractors.

All of these employers have turned to Ceridian to fully manage at least one of their HR/Payroll or benefits functions such as payroll, HRIS, health and welfare, Flexible Spending Accounts, COBRA, QRDO, talent acquisition and management and HR regulatory/compliance.

“We are finding more and more that HRO is very attractive to the mid-market, or medium-sized, organization because of the economic, strategic, operational, risk management – and the technology benefits – that the model provides,” said Ceridian HRO general manager and senior vice president, Keith Strodtman. “While mid-sized companies have become accustomed to buying separate best-of-breed HR solutions to support the various silos within the function — it actually makes more sense to look to one provider for multiple solutions. It makes the process of automating HR less challenging and offers the opportunity for better integration of functional areas. HRO can be a good alternative for companies in this situation.”

Ceridian has provided strategic HRO services since 1995 and was one of the first companies to provide a complete outsourced HRO offering. Today Ceridian is one of the leading providers of HRO
to mid-market-sized companies, those with 2,000-15,000 employees.

“We are seeing companies, especially those in the midmarket who have made a successful change to HRO, focus more on strategic, high-return HR initiatives such as succession planning, organizational design, team effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, performance management and development planning,” said Strodtman. “This is in large part because a major administrative burden has been lifted.”
