Taunya Fritzsching Receives American Payroll Association’s 2009 Meritorious Service Award

Minneapolis (June 01, 2009) – Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of managed human resource, employee benefits administration, tax filing and payroll outsourcing solutions, announced today that Taunya Fritzsching, CPP, Ceridian account executive, is the recipient of the APA’s 2009 Meritorious Service Award.

“Taunya’s contributions to the APA are many and we deeply appreciate the support that Ceridian has given us through Taunya,” said Dan Maddux, APA executive director. “We value Taunya as a colleague and friend, and for her professional demeanor and unfailingly positive attitude toward her employer, her profession, and her association.”

Taunya has been a Ceridian account executive since 2006. Taunya began her career in the payroll industry in 1984. Before beginning her work with Ceridian she held positions as a business manager, payroll manager and a payroll system administrator.

Taunya’s work with the APA began in 1996, the year she both joined the organization and passed her first Certified Payroll Professional exam (she recertified in 2001 and 2006). Over the years she has also held a variety of APA positions at the local, state and national level. In 2004 she received the Houston Chapter’s Payroll Professional of the Year award. In 2006 she served as president of the Houston Chapter. From 2006-2008 she served on the board of directors of the Texas Payroll Conference Board. She currently serves on the APA’s Hotline and CHAMPS committees and is the president-elect of the APA’s Galveston Bay Area Chapter. Over the years Taunya has also taught various courses for the APA, including the Payroll Professional Learning Series at Tomball College from 2001 to 2006. And she is currently on the APA’s Fundamental Payroll Certification Board.
