The University System of Georgia Selects ADP to Transform Payroll Processing and Benefits Administration Operations

ADP’s Solutions to Help Centralize and Improve Service for the USG’s 38,000 Employees

ROSELAND, New Jersey (July 15, 2008) – ADP® Employer Services, a leading provider of HR, payroll and benefits administration services, today announced a new public sector client relationship with the governing body of the University System of Georgia (USG), who has selected ADP to provide payroll processing and benefits administration and related services to its more than 38,000 employees.

ADP’s service-based solution will be instrumental in consolidating these services across the Georgia University System’s public schools and universities throughout the state, providing a new model to handle the organization’s crucial business operations. Under the agreement, ADP will host and maintain the technology platform that supports the overall solution, as well as provide critical administrative and employee services that improve the HR experience for the USG practitioners and employees.

“As a large and complex organization, we knew that it was imperative to streamline our business operations and maximize payroll processing and benefits administration efficiencies,” said Usha Ramachandran, executive sponsor of The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. “ADP offered a unique approach for meeting these goals. Their ability to leverage software and act as a service extension of our HR team was essential. In addition to automating activities such as time collection and benefits enrollment, ADP will also perform a number of administrative tasks that will improve the overall effectiveness of our HR team.”

ADP’s relationship with the USG reflects a trend in the public sector where organizations are increasingly attracted to service-based solutions, as opposed to previous software-based approaches. After completing a competitive RFP process, the USG selected ADP based upon ADP’s years of expertise and best practices in helping organizations improve their overall HR experience while lowering their overall cost of operation.

“The University System of Georgia is a recognized leader in providing high quality services to its students and the taxpayers of the state of Georgia,” said Regina Lee, President of ADP’s National Account Services. “ADP is delighted to partner with the USG to achieve the economies of scale, best practices and improved work environment that will continue to make them a role model for other large organizations to emulate.”

ADP National Account Services is the ADP business unit that provides HR, benefits and payroll services to public and private organizations with more than 1,000 employees. For more information, please visit www.nas.adp.com.
